It's is a beautiful day in Northern Texas!

Little Pumpkin Head Girl is going

Little Pumpkin Head Boy will be
getting the lawn "winterized".

These little Pumpkin Heads
make a good team!

~~~
I hope you are having a nice Fall day.
We have had rain and thunder
storms every few days.
My Brand Spanking New Pantry!
Wow... here it is Metamorphosis Monday! Time sure is getting away from me. Guess it must be just be that time of year.
Thank you Susan for hosting this meme. I will have her link at the bottom of this post.
~~~

This was the way my pantry looked. Don't laugh because I bet a few of you have let it get this way too.

The ceiling is WAY high and just look at what those pesky builders left me with.

Hey... this is my pantry guys... not the garage!

The paint was white... but look how dull it was compared to this new white. Also I used a semi gloss instead of FLAT!

We used Dutch Boy paint that has Baking Soda added to eliminate and prevent odors. We = I bought, he painted.

So I got busy. Went to WalMart and got this "happy" shelf liner and some double stick tape.

Hubby had already done the painting... I don't like to paint, and I am sure he does...

I must have spent 8 hours in this little room, measuring, cutting and piecing. Did I mention that it took 9+ rolls?!

Since I have OCD I needed to make sure that all the checks lined up. So 8 hours with my reading glasses on...

Buy the time I was done I was starting to hallucinate!

But just look how nice it is now!

Not laughing now, are you.

We even replaced the light. Couldn't turn it on 'cause it would be just too bright for the picture!

See any difference???

Halloween Party and Giveaway!

Here are some more pictures to add
to Sharon's Halloween Blog Party
over at Fiberdoodles and Whimsy.
~~~
I will be posting the rest of the pictures
on next weeks Tablescape Thursday.
I was too late to get it on for this week.
This cute little cup and saucer is
part of a set of four that I got at Ross.
Spidey is ready and waiting for some
orange flavored hot cocoa.
OOH... some brightly colored frosted
cupcakes from Walmart.
This witchey shoe cake plate
is also from Ross.
The candy corn candles are over 15 yrs. old.
They are hard enough to have survived
the heat of my Texas attic for the last 5 yrs.
See the cauldron painted on
the top of the cake plate?
I was also lucky enough to get the
matching cups to each plate.
The plate rack is from
Hobby Lobby.
This little black table came from
HomeGoods and moves around my house
as needed. That day it was in the entryway.
Today is is in the hallway under a mirror.
Guest Bathroom redo ~ Part 3 (plus giveaway)
Time for Transformation Thursday!
~~~

This week I am having a giveaway!
It's my very first and it is for an
adorable Pumpkin Head Box.

Be sure to click on the link
at the bottom of this post.

~~~
Some of you have asked for the details on how I made the skirt for my pedestal sink. This is part 3 in my Guest Bathroom Redo.
I had some 2.00 Waverly cafe curtains (still in the pkg.)... got a bunch off the clearance table at J.C.Penny a few years lotta years back.
I liked the pattern, and the material was a nice heavy cotton...good for pillows, etc.  They were originally priced at 25.00. Then marked down and down... until they ended up in the 2.00-3.00 bin.   What a bargain!
Let me stop right here and explain myself. I guess I am hopelessly out of date as far as home fashion "trends". I have collected things throughout the years and just can't let go... but that's another story for later.
Anyway... one morning it dawned  on me that I have this way out of date sunflower/garden theme going on in the guest bathroom. The good news is that I have several packages of those Waverly sunflower patterned kitchen curtains.
So... out came the cafe curtains and low and behold... one pair was 36"long and actually the exact width to wrap the sink...perfectly!!!
I got out my self adhesive hook and loop tape and stuck the to loopy side to the curtain and the hooky side on the top edge of the sink.
I flipped the curtains (from how they would hang on a window) so that large pattern was at the top because I thought it balanced the sink better by adding the bold at the top, since there is color in the rug. You'll see later...
Next I needed to sew up bottom a few inches and in 20 minutes flat... Okay... I never even got my sewing machine out for this project! I used double stick tape to "hem" up the bottom . Now I'm pretty sure that will not make it through the wash and will take it off before washing so that it will not get all gummy.  Also if it shrinks in length like most cotton, I won't have a "high water" sink!
So that is how I covered the sink issue... and now I actually have discreet storage for the extra TP and cleaning supplies!!!
I also wanted to hide the ugly pipe coming out of the toilet. It just always seem to look so dirty. I had been using a plastic flower pot but it wasn't high enough.
I bought this green wastebasket at Ross... a "happy find". But it still wasn't tall enough to hide the pipes.
So... I took the plastic flower pot and set it inside the basket. That raised it up just enough to hide the pipes!!!
This sure looks better than what I started with. What do you think about having a toilet seat cover? Not real sure about it. What do you think?
You can see the first part
of the redo ( and the new faucet)
by going here.
~~~

I have more "fixers" in this bathroom, like the way. too. high. ceiling, to share another time. I will involve beadboard... but not in the usual way.

It will definitely be painted and it may, or may not, include a sunflower wallpaper border (yup...you heard me) that I've had for years.

All I'm gonna say is that it will be
a little topsy ~turvy.

Pumpkin Head box giveaway!

My First White Wednesday!

I have admired all the pretty white pumpkins
here in blogland, but have had a hard time
finding just the right one.

Then after looking for what
seemed like weeks...
I found THREE!

I love the texture, the shine,
and that they are a creamy white.

I got them at Hobby Lobby...
but it was in three  different towns.
Thus the long search.

Then I made another great find at
TJ Maxx in yet another town.

I love how this one has some color,
but it is still very soft.

I think it also goes nicely with
my existing color palette.

See the little pumpkins in the background...
on the fireplace mantle?

I think they are so sweet.
What do you think?

White Wednesday is hosted
by Kathleen over at Faded Charm.
